What we collect, and why

This is the plain version, not a wall of legal boilerplate. If you order ahead or request a catering quote on this site, here's exactly what happens to your information.
Ordering ahead
When you place an order, we ask for your name and phone number so we can hand it to the right person at the window. That's it — we don't ask for an email, an address, or a payment card. Orders are pay-at-pickup; this site never sees or stores card information.
- Your order and contact details are stored for 48 hours in our order system, then automatically deleted.
- We use it to prepare and hand off your order — nothing else.
- We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing without asking you first.
Text messages
We'll only text you if you tick the box when you order. It's optional, the order goes through either way, and your pickup code is always on the screen — the text is a convenience, not the mechanism.
- You get one message per order, telling you it's ready. If we're running behind, you may get one more.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop them. Reply HELP for contact details.
- Your consent applies to that order only. We don't keep a standing list, and we won't text you about specials, events, or anything else you didn't ask for.
Requesting a catering quote
The booking form at Book the Trailer asks for more, because a quote needs it: your name, email, phone, event date, event type, guest count, venue or town, and any notes you add about the event. This goes to us so we can put together a real quote — it's not used for anything beyond that conversation.
What this site doesn't do
- No cookies that track you across other sites.
- No ad networks, analytics trackers, or social media pixels.
- No selling or renting your information to anyone.
